JEOW Newsletter
February 2007
Greetings from Jane Ellen's Official Website!
Dear Friends,
Plans for a third CD to join From My Heart and Seasons of the Heart, thereby completing a trilogy of classical new age releases, are cautiously moving forward and include the possibility of a surprise bonus CD as well. Tentative plans include working with Sid Fendley at Mountain Road Recording again (there's no reason to go elsewhere, when you can work with the best!), but I don't have anything concrete to announce at this time. You can be sure that you will be among the very first to know all the details as the project begins moving forward.
The annual American Composer Issue of Pan Pipes, from Sigma Alpha Iota, is already in the post. Although my issue has yet to arrive, it's nice to know that I have a bit of breathing room before it's time to begin compiling and editing bios for the 2008 issue. I've also received notification that my biography will be listed in the 2008 editions of Marquis Who's Who in America and Madison's Who's Who of Professionals.
I'm really enjoying my new journal, or blog, via wordpress.com. All of the Journal links on my website have been updated to go directly to the new location, or you can go via http://janesjournal.wordpress.com/. Among the new features this month are a search box where you can look specifically for things I may have written, and a button where you can add the journal to My Yahoo in addition to the RSS feed subscription. The archive feature is in place, and I've already begun receiving a few comments. The JEOW will most likely undergo some structural changes because of the growing success of my journal, as I realise that the opportunity to write short topical or humourous articles on a variety of subjects is what I had originally envisioned with the Musings section of my website.
Speaking of my website, the section for the annual March 17th festivities at the Shrine of St Patrick, in St Patrick, MO, has been updated. This year the celebration will include a re-dedication ceremony as the Shrine celebrates its 50th anniversary. As soon as the information on the annual Fourth of July celebration is released, that will be posted as well. You can easily find any of the holiday sections of the JEOW by choosing 'Seasonal Musings' from the Musings menu.
