Roth and Ellen
Welcome to the musical catalogue of Claire Roth (ASCAP) and Jane Ellen (ASCAP). We have been collaborating as lyricist and composer since 1999, and have an active, growing catalogue of works. As our catalogue expands, this webpage will list all of our efforts, both published and unpublished, along with their current availability. If you would like to commission a work from Roth and Ellen, or would like more information about any of our compositions, please contact Jane.

CHORAL MUSIC

Dream Vacation is the fourth commissioned work from Roth and Ellen by Quodlibet. This humourous work is about vacations we would prefer not to take. JEMS Publications (#JP-C004).
THE ETERNAL RING SATB a cappella (2001)
Eternal Ring is the first in a series of commissions from Albuquerque-based a cappella group Quodlibet, directed by Marilyn Alletzhauser. This piece provides a journey through the four seasons, beginning with Autumn and ending with Summer, courtesy of an evocative four-part poem by Roth. The approximate performance time is 4 minutes and the work is available from JEMS Publications (#JP-C001).
HEARTS AND HANDS UNITED SATB/flute/piano (2001)
This joyful Pentecost anthem, commissioned by New Life Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, NM, may be used at other times throughout the church year. This work is available from JEMS Publications (#JP-C003).
PER LA GRAZIA DI DIO SATB a cappella, Italian text (2002)
The title of this piece, our second Quodlibet commission, translates as For the Grace of God. The work is available from JEMS Publications (#JP-C002).
SWEET SEDUCTION SATB/piano, 2002
Beginning with Sweet Seduction, our commissions from Quodlibet turned humourous. This somewhat wacky choral work, is about the allure of certain foods. JEMS Publications (#JP-C005).
