"I know your heart," a friend once said to me,
"Its joys, its sorrows, pain and love complete."
But how can someone comprehend or see
What lies 'neath each expository beat?
With senses five, a guess, can't know for sure,
Conjecture based on attitude and mien.
What's buried deep abides ensconced, secure
From caring probes; remains unfound, unseen.
And yet, with patient perseverance grows
A Friendship of two Spirits built on Trust.
The deepest thought now ready to expose
Itself; a burden shared, confusion sussed.
To know another's heart complete, unmissed,
Needs Love's own spark, a patient catalyst.
